Prayer Requests
For Inclusion In The Bulletin
There have been many requests for prayers requests to once again be placed in the bulletin. And so in September we will start to do so. There will be prayer request slips left out by the bulletins each Sunday that can be put in the offering plate or on Pastor Deb’s desk. Please note that these will only be for those requests you wish to have put in the bulletin.

Because of HIPPA and confidentiality concerns, for inclusion in the bulletin, prayer requests must be from an immediate family member, and/ or indicate that the person the request concerns has indicated it is okay that it can be shared in the bulletin.

They should also have the name of the person requesting the prayer so that there is someone to check with, if needed, if after a period of time the request is still needed. Of course, if the request is for you personally, simply let Pastor Deb know it can be included in the bulletin. Please note that we will continue to accept all prayer requests for inclusion in the pastoral prayer during the service, and that you can also lift the request up at the time. However, Pastor Deb will need the written slip to verify spelling etc., especially if the person is not part of the congregation. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Pastor Deb.

God’s grace and peace.

In 1957 St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church became St. John’s United Church of Christ as a result of a merger. The denominations of the Congregational Christian Church, along with Evangelical and Reformed Church joined to form United Church of Christ. UCC is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that came together as one church. They joined faith and actions and currently are over 5,000 churches with nearly one million members across the U.S. The UCC serves God in the co-creation of a just and sustainable world. The UCC is a church of "firsts," a church of extravagant welcome, and a church where "…they may all be one".
