St. John’s Church Women’s Guild
It's Rhubarb Fest time! Calling on St. John's bakers. The St. John’s Church Women’s Guild is sponsoring a booth for the Annual Rhubarb Fest on Saturday, June 8 from 9:00am to 3:00am located at the Fountain City Park. We need your support and your baking skills to fill the tables with your favorite rhubarb recipes. If you’re not into rhubarb, surprise us with your favorite recipe. Start bringing your donations at 8:30am. The tent will be set up near the shelter building. Please have all items wrapped and they will be priced when you drop them off. If you would like to donate your time and help in the booth for an hour or two, or six, contact Sue Schaffner. A tent and a set-up crew are already established. Food sales go quick, and we are usually sold out by noon, so come early. Bring your friends and check out our booth starting at 8:30am.

In 1957 St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church became St. John’s United Church of Christ as a result of a merger. The denominations of the Congregational Christian Church, along with Evangelical and Reformed Church joined to form United Church of Christ. UCC is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that came together as one church. They joined faith and actions and currently are over 5,000 churches with nearly one million members across the U.S. The UCC serves God in the co-creation of a just and sustainable world. The UCC is a church of "firsts," a church of extravagant welcome, and a church where "…they may all be one".
